Welcome

The MIT Sloan Africa Business Club is an all-inclusive student run organization fostering relations between the MIT Sloan community and the African business and cultural communities. Launched in May 2007, the club has quickly emerged as one of the most popular clubs on campus. The club’s activities include:

  • Promoting discussion of economic and social issues in Africa
  • Providing an avenue for students interested in careers in Africa to interact with employers seeking the skills of MIT Sloan and other college graduates
  • Encouraging MIT Sloan to seek out more students from Africa
  • Strengthening ties among students, alumni, and African business professionals
  • Promoting technological innovation and entrepreneurship in Africa

As the student body club responsible for African interests at the Sloan School of Management, our mission is to facilitate application
of world class innovation to the continent’s biggest
challenges. We serve as a platform to share ideas, connect
people and promote Africa.

OBJECTIVES

  • Showcase the countless business and job opportunities that exist in Africa
  • Profile current business leaders shaping Africa’s future
  • Create greater exposure for entrepreneurs focused on Africa
  • Facilitate the bridging of the various Africa-focused groups at MIT
  • Assist prospective MIT Sloan MBAs with the application process
